The Casa Lupe Story
It Begins in Live Oak
Don Juan and Doña Esther De La Torre opened the first Casa Lupe restaurant in Live Oak, California.
A Home in Gridley
Casa Lupe moved to Gridley, where the restaurant found its permanent home and continued serving local families.
Casa Lupe Market Opens
The family expanded with Casa Lupe Market, located directly beside the Gridley restaurant.
Yuba City
Casa Lupe opened in Yuba City, continuing the family's tradition of authentic Mexican food and hospitality.
Built Around the Family Table
From the beginning, Casa Lupe has been about more than serving a meal. It has been about bringing people together. The De La Torre family's commitment to authentic Mexican cooking, fresh ingredients and genuine hospitality became the foundation for everything Casa Lupe would grow to be.
The Flavors That Have Lasted for Generations
Many of the dishes served at Casa Lupe are rooted in recipes and traditions passed from one generation to the next. Freshly prepared salsa and guacamole, handmade favorites and time-tested family recipes continue to connect today's guests with the Casa Lupe story that began decades ago.
